Born and raised in a dancing household, James found a passion for dance in his early college years at Southwestern Community College. Shortly after, he applied his passion for photography and photographed a dress rehearsal in a show that he was performing at in 2024, and he fell in love.

Since then, James has photographed San Diego’s premier dance companies such as LITVAKdance, Malashock Dance, and San Diego Dance Theater, as well as local studios and schools Canyon Crest Academy, DancePAW, and INSPIRE School of Dance.

James currently studies dance at the University of California, San Diego, and is practicing photography daily.
